TELL A FRIEND
If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend's name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. DiscussEconomics does not store this information. Your friend may contact us at to request that we remove this information from our database.

IMPORT CONTACTS
We utilize an import contacts feature to help you keep track of your contacts. At your request we will search your email address book to help you import your contacts to our site. This is done manually by importing a .VCF file which can exported from Microsoft Outlook or Apple Contacts. Once imported, your contacts may be used as a view only tool so that you can see any of their information by logging into the DiscussEconomics site. We will not contact users in your contacts list at any time while in the Contacts application. When using the Invoices application, we will allow you to send an invitation to any of your existing contacts contacts by clicking the "Send Invitation" link after adding them to your Invoice. The email will explain that they can create a new account on the DiscussEconomics site so that you may provide access to your Invoice for viewing only.

Add Contact: We utilize an add contact feature which allows you to add your personal contacts. We collect their name, email address, address, mobile phone number and other information you may wish to keep track of. This information is not for our personal use, but to allow you to use this information while using our services.

AGENTS/SERVICE PROVIDERS
We use other third parties such as a credit card processing company to bill you for services. When you sign up for PayPal or Amazon, we will share your email address as necessary for the third party to provide that service.
These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for promotional purposes.

UPDATING PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may update it by making the change on our Profile Update page or by emailing our Customer Support at

RESTRICTED ACCOUNT NUMBERS
For your protection, we only allow users to enter in the last 4 numbers of your account numbers. This ensures that your credit cards and checking accounts can not be tampered with in any way. We take the security of your financial data very seriously and believe the more places you store your credit account numbers, the higher security risk you run into. This is why we prefer to be an organizer of your data, but not the key holder to your bank or financial institution.

SECURITY
All data is stored securely in a private datasource at Amazon Web Services and Shopify. Please visit the datacenter section of their site for more information. All passwords are stored encrypted in MD5 format. All text is stored in 128 bit encryption. DiscussEconomics also uses Shopify Certificates to ensure all data transferred between your browser and the internet is encrypted. DiscussEconomics uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption for all logged in pages where sensitive information such as credit card information is being passed over the internet.

COOKIES
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. We may use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For session ID cookies, once you close your browser or log out, the cookie terminates and is erased. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on your computer's hard drive for an extended period of time.
