That will reduce the argument that a national sales tax is regressive since the disparity between rich and poor would be reduced. With a national sales tax, the income tax could be eliminated. People could pay for most health care out of their pockets. Forget the big health bill. The need to write legislation to control banks and corporations will be greatly reduced since more people will hold significant portions of stock making the companies more democratic.
