Price earnings and yield? Can't Post

Can anyone here give a sound explanation of the price earnings ration and yield of a share/stock please?
Also is there anyone that has had a lot of experience with investing with shares who can give pointers?

Sorry, i can't give you sound advice that you should believe in :P I can tell you that it makes more sense to invest in money markets, mutual funds, etc., than directly within the stock market. Less risk and on average higher long term gains.
